An estimated 25% of women experience domestic violence at some point in their lives a truly dreadful statistic. And men are sufferers too. We will hear the voices of women, men, their children and families to try and offer some advice to all those of you going though it out there. We are delighted that the world-renowned Erin Pizzey, the founder of the Womens Refuge Movement, is contributing to this site. Domestic violence against men is one of the last taboos and many of the agencies the Police, social services and so on almost refuse to believe that it exists. Erin strongly believes that these women are themselves victims as well as the men they beat up, and she is looking to speak to more women so that she can understand more about this phenomenon.
